DYFS Caseworker of the Quarter

Congratulations DYFS Caseworker of the Quarter Tina Sebekos from the Cape May Local Office!

Tina was nominated by Sue Baker and Kim Tomkinson who had many wonderful things to say about her commitment to the children of Cape May County and her great example of working collaboratively with CASA. Sue Baker shared with us that Tina "goes above and beyond for the families she works with, thinking out of the box, researching other services and/or options for families that may not normally be provided by the division.”  Sue went on to say that Tina is always easy to communicate with, is willing to work collaboratively, and overall is just "wonderful to work with.”  Kim Tomkinson shared with us the following, "this woman is amazing, and not only for all the help she has given me so far since I began with CASA but her dedication to DYFS. When do you ever hear the families say "our DYFS worker is great"!?!? Even the mother in my case has praised Tina! As I'm sure every CASA worker feels when they receive their first case I was overwhelmed and petrified about meeting with the key characters in my case. When I first met Tina I immediately felt at ease. She is so open and considerate to our position as CASA volunteers that I thank god that I was assigned to one of her cases. She sat down with me for over an hour our first meeting and has continued to keep me updated on every detail of the case. She gave me her cell phone number and we have continued to speak every week. I never feel like I am bothering her and she reassures me ever time we speak that I am doing a great job. What more could you ask for? You never know, especially being new to the game, how well you are doing or if there is more you could do. She has been sort of a mentor believe it or not! She loves these children but has remained as professional as one could ever imagine.”

CASA thanks Tina for all her efforts and her continued hard work and dedication!
