A child has rights. We fight for them.

Abused and neglected children need more than the foster care and child welfare system can provide. CASA for Children recruits, trains and supports citizen-volunteers who advocate for children in the community and in the courtroom.

A child with a CASA volunteer is:
  • Twice as likely to be adopted, than to linger in long-term foster care
  •  Half as likely to re-enter the foster care system
  •  More likely to have a plan for finding a permanent home, especially children of color
  •  More likely to do better in school

In Atlantic and Cape May Counties 316 children have a CASA volunteer. A trusted adult who will stick with them until their case is resolved.

But 513 children are still waiting.

We have promised to match a CASA volunteer with every waiting child by 2017. To do that, we need your help. Your support can change a child’s life.

CASA is central to fulfilling society’s most fundamental obligation by making sure a qualified, compassionate adult will fight for and protect a child’s right to be safe, to be treated with dignity and respect and to learn and grow in the safe embrace of a loving family.
